Every person has their own style. Whether it’s the clothes that they are wearing or base on their personality on the inside, each person has their own style. However, some styles may overlap each other which then creates categories. In my case, I want to find a category of my own.
To find my own graphic design style, I need to figure out a color scheme that fits me as well as different from others. Likewise, I think everyone has their own color scheme. I've decided to do research to learn about color personality. I learned that every color has a meaning.
Here's a breakdown of the main colors:
Black: A person who is serious and powerful. A person who either hides their true emotion or explodes their emotions on others.
Red: An eye-catching person. Someone who lust for love and attention.
Blue: A sense of calm and joy. These people are the best people to be around when someone is sad.
Green: A person that has good energy. Also, a person who is calm and sensible to others. They have a optimistic mind.
Yellow: A cheerful person with a lot of positive energy. A person who only wants positive vibes in their life.
Orange: Similar to yellow, but a much chiller and warmer version of yellow.
Purple: People who associate themselves with purple are usually the leader in a group or a person who likes to give out advice.
After doing research, I notice that my personality is somewhere in these main colors. I realize that I’m a tone down version of red, yellow, and black. So I decide to do further research on color personality.
Here's some more color personality:
Beige: A person who lives in comfort. A person who doesn't want to stand out. A person who desires to get along with anyone.
Pink: A person who likes to be loved by others. Like red, but less impulsive to grasp for attention. She/he is a sweet person.
Grey: A boring person. He/she is very plain and never likes to stand out. However, people with grey personalities are very mature.
Teal: They value to be different from others. They also take precautions of what they do. Among all personalities, they are one of the most unique personalities.
Coral: People who tend to go for coral are people who have an outgoing personality. They are approachable and very easy-going.
Maroon: A person who has a creative thought and mind. This person also likes to take pride in their work and appearance.
Light blue: They are sensible people. They are either over-emotional or moody.
Among these colors and further research on other colors, my personality fits well with pink, white, grey, beige, peach, light blue, and coral. Although, I kinda figured that those are my type of colors already, but after doing some research, I now know why I’m drawn to those colors. Furthermore, I just need to find a way to incorporate new ideas to those color schemes to make my designs look more like me instead of following other people on Instagram. Likewise, I can now use those colors as a base for my future graphic designs.
